Denise was an incredible doula. I wouldn't have been able to go through my birth without her by my side. She was a great coach leading up to the birth -- via our monthly calls and through the hypnobirthing course (which I recommend whether or not you plan a medicated birth). My birth ended up being very long and we decided to get an epidural and Denise coached us through all the twists and turns. She offered wonderful massages through my surges and was a great resource to have as the doctors and nurses suggested different procedures or provided updates on my labor. She was calm the entire time and so incredibly helpful. If you are considering Denise as your doula or for a birth class, you won't be disappointed! Seriously could not have done it without her. At one point during my surges was my mantra was "Denise is here. I am safe."

We hired Denise to be our birth doula and it was the best decision we made for our pregnancy/birth experience. The birth doula service that Denise offers covers everything you need to prepare for birth and the basics on caring for your baby once they arrive. Denise checked in with us regularly throughout the pregnancy, came to our home to do in birth classes, came to our home to put together our birth plan with us, came to our home before birth for baby care basics classes, and came to our home after the birth for two check in visits where she was there to help with whatever you might need help with (for us it was using the breast pump, trimming baby nails, checking baby's latch, and learning baby soothing techniques). And for the birth itself, Denise was an absolute ROCKSTAR. There's no way my husband and I could have achieved the unmedicated hospital birth I wanted without her there. She came to our home to help me through some of my labor there and then followed us to the hospital to get us through the rest of it. My labor was 24 hours in total and Denise was by our side providing support through all of it. And a bonus, Denise is great with dogs. We have two large dogs and one of them does not do well with strangers. Denise was patient with our dog and now both of our dogs loves her. Denise was everything and more in what I wanted with a birth doula and she made me feel confident and supported theoughout the experience. I cannot recommend her enough!

Denise was our postpartum doula following the birth of my first child. I was looking for extra support at home after my baby was born to help and provide expert advice for all things new born; breast feeding, diapering, sleeping etc. She is an ultra supportive, nurturing, and informed doula, she had an answer for all my questions and advice that helped make things easier. Highly recommend! She has a wealth of experience and guidance to share! Additionally Denise was also flexible with our schedule, always punctual and helped us in the kitchen preparing some healthy and delicious dinners! Love her!

Our family hired Denise as a postpartum doula for the first four weeks after delivery. She was excellent. She was deeply knowledgable and able to answer a wide variety of postpartum questions, showed careful attention and care for our child, and was always on time. Words cannot describe how grateful I am that we had Denise as our postpartum doula. I don't know how I could have gotten through those first few months without her. I can't recommend Denise enough. As a first time mom who runs a little anxious, I had many friends suggest I hire a doula to assist with the great unknowns of pregnancy, labor and motherhood in general. I found Denise online and after a quick consult, knew she was the one for me. Throughout the entire journey, she kept me grounded, well informed, and at ease regardless of what was going on in the background. Delivering in a hospital with a team of people I did not know initially felt very daunting but having Denise there beside me calmed my nerves and made my overall experience a positive one which I am so grateful for. If you’re looking for postpartum support, SHE’S THE ONE!! Hiring Denise was absolutely the best decision I made as a first time mom. As I prepared for my fourth trimester, Denise checked in with me weekly to see how I was doing and made sure I felt supported. Not only was she super helpful with the million questions I had as an anxious new mom-to-be, this was a great way for us to get to know each other before the baby arrived. My husband and I were already impressed with Denise’s professional background and knowledge in newborn care before hiring her, but we immediately knew we could trust her with our baby after our first day together. Denise was absolutely amazing! I am a first time mom and gave birth to my beautiful baby girl about 3 weeks ago. My husband and I don’t have any family nearby, and my colleague had recommended a few doulas to me to look into as an extra layer of support. I am so happy that we partnered with Denise to support us in our first birth, as I was relieved with peace of mind my entire pregnancy, knowing that Denise would be there to guide us every step of the way and advise on any decisions we were given. I felt very educated in the entire birth process, and supported in every way that I felt. I had the privilege and honor to work with Denise as our daytime doula. While not even knowing what a doula was as a first time parent, I cannot recommend her (and getting a doula in general) enough. From newborn education to day-to-day parent advice, Denise made such a significant, positive impact in the first couple months of our journey as new parents. Despite us being first time parents, we felt much more confident after having Denise's help, which is something difficult to quantify in monetary value. Her schedule is blocked off months in advance for good reason. If you are lucky enough to get her as your doula, you definitely should!!

Denise was such a joy to have in our home during such a precious and vulnerable time in our family. She is full of so much postpartum and baby knowledge, has the best recos for all services you may need after birth and makes the most delicious food. I highly recommend Denise to anyone interested in working with a labor or postpartum doula! She is so knowledgeable and informative on all things pregnancy, labor, and newborn care. Going into labor, I felt so much more prepared knowing that she would be there. And when medical issues arose that caused the delivery to change drastically from my birth plan, Denise's presence was both calming and invaluable in helping me make the right choices (this wasn't just my opinion - the labor and delivery nurses were very impressed with her and singled her out as one of the best doulas they had ever worked with). Denise was equally invaluable as a postpartum doula - as first-time parents with no family in the area, she was a lifesaver during a very stressful and intense time. We are first-time parents, so having someone along throughout the process who understood what was going on and was there to explicitly prepare us for and guide us through each stage really helped ease our anxiety. In our first in-person meeting with her, my husband was especially impressed that when we asked her about how induction works, without any hesitation she knew the proper doses and timings of which drugs are standard care as well as how some OBs might alter that and why, and what each of those changes meant for the mother and baby. We found that throughout our engagement with her that was the level of mastery we could expect. I especially appreciated that she didn’t come into our working relationship with strongly held opinions about the “right” way to do things. Another doula I spoke to made me feel talked down to and like she would be secretly judging me if my choices didn’t align with hers. Denise did a great job enthusiastically providing us with information and resources and then supporting our choices. She has a good sense of balance — a healthy respect for the value of western medicine as well as an understanding of where it can fall short when it comes to pregnancy and birth. Denise is absolutely wonderful! My husband and I were looking for a private birthing class that would get us ready but that was also geared towards the type of birth we are looking to have. Most of the classes I've seen are for natural births so finding someone to help us prepare for a birth with an epidural was amazing. I ended up having a private 4 hour session (broken up into two parts) with Denise here at my house. Denise is so knowledgeable and just all around awesome. she presented in an engaging way without being too much like a seminar. She teaches a science-based course that's based on her real-life experiences as a birthing doula. All and all, It was amazing for me and my husband! I was able to interrupt and ask questions that were unique to us and she was able to skip over stuff that wasn't right for us/we already knew. And it was super reasonable. And she gave us lots of useful handouts too plus access to lots of amazing resources. Hire her! You won't regret it!

This review is so overdue. Denise is that Doula who can fill a void in the healthcare system and be the sister-friend a new mother needs. If you’re looking for a doula, look no further! Run don’t walk. We had the pleasure of working with Denise postpartum for five weeks. They were sweet and went by way too fast. She impacted our family so much that we wish we would have contracted with her longer. From the moment she came in there was a relief in pressure of falling short as new parents. She is incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to her work. She taught us how to care for our delicate and perfect baby, Denise is non-judgmental and listens to your wants. She helped me with breastfeeding which is something I really wanted to do. I still exclusively BF and couldn’t have done it without her encouragement and support. She has shown us so many baby hacks that saved us and still practice today. We love Denise so much and miss her!

Denise was professional and prompt. Communication is top notch with allowance to ask questions on days she didn't work. We are very happy we hired Denise as a Postpartum doula because when we left the hospital, we were pretty lost and had a hard time understanding our daughter's needs. She came in, took over and allowed us to take a much needed nap. Days following she showed us how to soothe our daughter, assisted with breastfeeding, and taught us how to bathe our daughter. Sadly all this sounds simple and should be so easy, but I assure you tiny mistakes make big explosions and a lot of crying (on all sides). Thank you so much for assisting our family on how to function. Without your guidance I fear there would be a lot less sleep and more screams.

Denise started with us when our baby was 6 weeks old. We were first time parents, sleep deprived and in need of help. Our baby had reflux so getting her to sleep during the day and night was a challenge. Denise started her on the 90 minute sleep schedule and it worked like a charm. Denise not only brought a calming spirit to our house, but she brought a wealth of knowledge. She is a baby expert and provided us with tools every step of the way(things you’d never get from a book!). Our daughter loves her and so do we! Denise is AMAZING! Where do I start...she was my Birth Doula and came with me to the hospital. It was a tough call to make, due to Covid protocol I could only have my husband and one other person so I had to choose between my Doula and my Midwife. I chose Denise and I’m glad I did. She was so supportive and intuitive. She jumped in and offered comfort and supported me in ways I didn’t even know I needed. I had planned a birth center birth but my baby came early so we had to do it in the hospital. She helped me stay calm and helped me navigate medical decisions that came up during the delivery. All of her tips on what to bring on the birth day and list of what you actually need for baby must haves as well as postpartum care must haves was so key to our success in the early days with baby. Denise is absolutely amazing. She was my Postpartum Doula with my third child in 2018. She came to the hospital and was with us as we checked out which helped make the process so smooth. She helped support our breastfeeding journey and even showed up to the hospital with my favorite coffee (because coffee is my love language). I knew I had to book her for both my labor and postpartum for my fourth baby who was born in March 2020. I had a successful home birth, which was my 3rd VBAC. Denise was so supportive and soothing during labor for both me AND my husband. She was an essential part of my birth team and I literally would not do it again without her. Denise is amazing! She is so great at anticipating your needs, especially once she gets to know how you do things and like things, so much so that I used to call her my second brain. (Super helpful for this first time, sleep deprived mum). Often I’d ask for something and she’d already have it done or organized. Denise ALWAYS remembered everything! Denise HAPPILY TOOK ON ANYTHING I asked of her; Cooking, light cleaning, UPS returns, walking the dog, coming to appointments/parks, putting together random items we ordered, wearing our daughter out for a walk, even researching things for me and at times providing emotional support. I was always confident everything would not only get done the way I liked it but the things that kept the house going would always get done without needing to be asked. Denise has a lot of knowledge and if asked can offer helpful suggestions. She is PUNCTUAL, FLEXIBLE always pleasant, has a good SENSE of HUMOR and great at MULTITASKING. My daughter was about 4mths old when Denise started and was with our family for about 5-6mths, almost full time. My daughter takes a little time to warm up to people, Denise did so well to just go at my daughters pace which was a day by day thing. We are baby-wearing, bed-sharing, baby led weaning and mindful parents and always felt supported in our choices. We also do EC (elimination communication) which Denise took on successfully with our daughter. Denise is a sensational doula! She is very comfortable to be around and knows how to take care of newborns very well. Denise was a joy to have in our home after our daughter was born, I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for a postpartum doula. Thank you for all your help and care! :)

Denise was my postpartum doula following the birth of my third child. She stayed with me in the hospital during recovery and then helped us get adjusted at home. She was incredibly helpful in the hospital and was great with our older kids as well as with our newborn once we were home! She's a great cook and is truly invaluable in helping create a smooth transition with a new baby in the family. She is also great at organizing baby items and is full of helpful suggestions for newborn sleep and naps. I don't know how I did it without her with my first two kids. We will definitely hire her again for our next baby!

Hiring Denise was the best decision I made preparing for the fourth trimester. She came highly recommended by very respected professionals who have been in the doula/midwife community for many years and she did not disappoint. Denise was dependable, communicative, nurturing, kind, clear and so so caring! She was flexible and so willing to jump into whatever I needed that day. She was always a huge breath of fresh air as she came through the door. She cooked me wonderful, nurturing foods with joy! My daughter loved her and still does—I’m convinced she still remembers Denise’s gentle, loving, patient and intuitive touch from her first days and weeks. Denise is amazing! She is so great at anticipating your needs, especially once she gets to know how you do things and like things, so much so that I used to call her my second brain. (Super helpful for this first time, sleep deprived mum). Often I'd ask for something and she'd already have it done or organized. Denise ALWAYS remembered everything! Denise HAPPILY TOOK ON ANYTHING I asked of her; Cooking, light cleaning, UPS returns, walking the dog, coming to appointments/parks, putting together random items we ordered, wearing our daughter out for a walk, even researching things for me and at times providing emotional support. I was always confident everything would not only get done the way I liked it but the things that kept the house going would always get done without needing to be asked. Denise has a lot of knowledge and if asked can offer helpful suggestions. She is PUNCTUAL, FLEXIBLE always pleasant, has a good SENSE of HUMOR and great at MULTITASKING. My daughter was about 4mths old when Denise started and was with our family for about 5-6mths, almost full time. My daughter takes a little time to warm up to people, Denise did so well to just go at my daughters pace which was a day by day thing. We are baby-wearing, bed-sharing, baby led weaning and mindful parents and always felt supported in our choices. We also do EC (elimination communication) which Denise took on successfully with our daughter. Highly Recommend! Denise is AMAZING! Where do I start...she was my Birth Doula and came with me to the hospital. It was a tough call to make, due to Covid protocol I could only have my husband and one other person so I had to choose between my Doula and my Midwife. I chose Denise and I'm glad I did. She was so supportive and intuitive. She jumped in and offered comfort and supported me in ways I didn't even know I needed. I had planned a birth center birth but my baby came early so we had to do it in the hospital. She helped me stay calm and helped me navigate medical decisions that came up during the delivery. All of her tips on what to bring on the birth day and list of what you actually need for baby must haves as well as postpartum care must haves was so key to our success in the early days with baby. When we have our next babe, we will definitely have Denise by our side again! Thanks Denise!

Denise is great. She was informative and had lots of literature for us to borrow to read. She was ready to roll the second we asked her to come to the hospital. There she stayed until our baby girl was delivered 15 hours later. While there she was an amazing support and great advocate for our birth plan. Totally recommend.
